In the sixties, Hans Kubicek has created commissional work for the archives and photo sections of the Steyr-Daimler-Puch plants and the Saurerwerke. Within the framework of these works, he has photographed Austrian landscape areas, mountain life or architecture. At the same time, he has never disregarded artistic, romantic painterly aspects in his photographs. This Vintage gelatin silver print of ca. 1961 depicts the tower of Abbey Dürnstein, which is located close to Krems in Lower Austria.



The photograph is verso inscribed in ballpen ‘“Dürnstein“ Hans Kubicek‘. It is besides slight folding marks and scumbles at the upper and lower rim in very good condition. The dimensions are 28.7 x 23.3 cm. (tm)
