Hans Kubicek was one of the Austrian photographers of the sixties, who captured the Austrian rural life, especially mountain scenes. This vintage gelatin silver print from ca. 1965 is a great example of these works. Depicted is the lovely scene of a hiker, who is dressed in the typical clothing of the time and feeding a saddled up donkey. In the background the massive mountains of the Alps stretch up. Eminent in Kubicek’s photographs is the fact that he has never disregarded artistic, romantic painterly aspects in his photographs.



The photograph is besides minimal traces of wear and age in very good condition. In the lower left corner is a folding mark. The image size is 29 x 28.9 cm and the dimensions of the sheet are 31 x 30.1 cm. (tm)
