These two photographs were created by Hans Kubicek, who depicts here birch landscapes without disregard to artistic, romantic painterly aspects. Hans Kubicek has mainly created commissional works for the Steyr-Daimler-Puch plants and the Saurerwerke. The two photographs originate from 1968 and depict a wintry landscape with an iced river and a field with path. One of the two photographs is verso inscribed in ballpen ‘”Birken”, Hans Kubicek, Schwechat, Himbergerstraße 6-8, V/II/8’, also a stamp ‘Österreichische Staatsmeisterschaft 1968’, also hand-written notes in felt pen ‘129016’ ‘21’, as well as a third illegible note.



Both photographs are in very good condition with minimal traces of wear and age. The corners are slightly bumped. There is a small brown spot in the surface in one of the photographs, which is no damage. There is also a slight folding mark as well as some scratch marks on the surface. The other photograph has a tear on the upper rim of ca. 0.2 cm length. The dimensions are 40 x 30 cm and 38.5 x 28.3 cm. (tm)
