Three items: hardcover copy of Afrika signed and inscribed on the half-title page, “In very friendship to Roul, Hans Erni,” adding several elaborate sketches to the page; TLS dated February 11, 1967. In part: “In automne [sic] you looked for a convincing reason to have me your Bahnhofstrasse article. Now I have the reason…Half of their front toward the Bahnhofstrasse will be transformed into the sales-office of Swissair and I asked to decorate it. I already presented my project and it has been accepted.” Erni has added a sketch of a bird beneath his name; and a sentiment written in black felt tip on blank cardstock, signed “Hans” and adding an original sketch. In fine condition, with several tears to the book’s dustjacket. Accompanied by an unsigned postcard showing an Erni lithograph and the separate cover of the greeting card.
