Official Rawlings Braves baseball uniform worn by pitcher Gene Conley in a 1972 Atlanta Braves old-timers’ game, signed on the front of the jersey in blue felt tip, “Best wishes, Hank Aaron” and “Best wishes, Eddie Mathews.” The zipper-style jersey is size 46 and bears Conley’s name and number 22 screened onto back, the Braves ‘tomahawk’ logo on the front, and ‘chief’ logo on the left sleeve. Pants are a size 40 with 27-inch inseam, and feature red and blue stripes along the sides. Stirrups are also included. Some scattered toning and soiling to the jersey, otherwise fine condition.

Conley was a notable athlete of the era—a four time All-Star and a principal member of both the world champion Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Braves, and the only athlete to ever win world championships in two of the four major American sports. He wore this uniform for an old-timers’ game held to honor the 25th anniversary of the 1957 Milwaukee Braves World Series championship. A magnificent piece tying together the two Braves 500 Home Run club members as well as their historic 1957 championship run.
