with circular frame of cast metal suspended from the ceiling by arrow-shaped metal arms and decorated with western motifs of a bison hunt, a mounted war party, and an Indian travois followed by two camp dogs. The frame has a rawhide hand-painted tipi decorated with blue and white accents along lower and top edge. A suspended rawhide shield acts as a diffuser. Tipi is about 26" high; frame is 26" diameter x 50" overall height.

Born in 1953 and raised in Cody, Wyoming, Peter Fillerup is a noted sculptor of western subjects; he has completed prestigious commissions and received numerous gold medals as well as Best in Show from American Indian and Cowboy Artist shows.
