Handwritten letter on stationary from the office of the Sheriff of Stanislaus County signed by “A. S. Dingley Sheriff. This letter concerns James O’Brien describing him as “A bad actor” and “that he has him in jail for burglary” and is writingto Frank De Pue Esq. of San Francisco to see if there is a prior against him.
