<B>Handpainted Toleware Box "Love and Liberty".</B></I> This 3.75" x 2.6" box is painted with foliate designs and a small jug; below that it is inscribed with, "Love and Liberty." The box comes complete with its original lid and is in very good condition; the paint on the base has slightly worn away. The lid still fits tightly onto the box itself. The quote on the lid could be from several places such as a quote from Samuel Taylor Coleridge to Thomas Jefferson.
