Hand revolved percussion pepperbox with seven (7) shot barrel cluster signed Lewis & Tomes, London circa mid 19th century with plaque inscribed GEO. I. Rogers 1863 in period block letters. The frame shows quality engraving and frame barrels and mounts show strong traces of original case hardening drifting to gray. The wood stock is in good condition with crisp checkering. The pistol measures 8 ¼” overall with 2 1/12” barrelgroup in approximately .36 caliber false rifled. There was a noted knife maker of this period named George Rogers. From an old N.Y.
