Unissued. Location is Silver Mountain with what appears to be a location specific vignette. HS Crocker & Co. printer. No discoloration, edge, corner issues. Hancock Gold & Silver Mining Company was incorporated in July at San Francisco in 1863. It was a claim identified as being in the Silver Mountain Mining District in 1864 (per Calif. Division of Mines & Geology listing in "Mines and Mineral Resources of Alpine County" by William B. Clark). According to Bud Munck, the “Hancock” was the southern extension of the Pennsylvania (6/22/2013).
