<td width="100%">
First century BCE bronze disk containing a central green jade carving. The ornaments are typical for Western Han period and the bronze disk is decorated with "rice grain" relief pattern. The central disk is made from open work green jade carving featuring a dragon with an open mouth. C scrolls pattern and clouds pattern are decorating the dragon's surface that are carved in a convex fashion following the natural body contour. This disk carving is the first one that we have ever seen combining the bronze and jade in a fascinating object that was probably used for imperial use as symbol of power. We are not aware of any similar object described in the world literature, or exhibited in any world museum including Shanghai Museum. This object was not even included in the collectors textbook: "Jade, 5000 BC to 1912 AD, A guide to collectors" written by Dr. Veleanu. Provenance: Dr. Veleanu's jade collection, the owner of Objets d'Art Uniques Internet store. Estimated value: $15.000.
