<B>Hampstead, MD</B></I> - $20 1902 Date Back Fr. 645 <B>The First NB</B></I> Ch. # (E)9755<BR>An excessively rare large size note from this Carroll County bank. Just two large notes are known from Hampstead, with one having been sold by us as part of the Armand Shank, Jr. collection back in May of 1998 (it graded Fine and realized $4620) and the second having been auctioned in February of 2000 (it graded Extremely Fine and realized $5225.) This is the only Date Back known from here, and, fortunately for collectors, it is a peach of a note, with even circulation, good color for the grade, and clear pen signatures.
