In part: “It is unfortunate that an accident (that of birth) for which Mr. Murti was not responsible but which cannot ever be remedied, is an improbable obstacle to his appointment to the Italian Consulate. He is a native of Italy & the experience of the Department has established beyond the possibility of a question the very serious objection to appointing naturalized citizens of the U. S. to consulates within the country of their nativity.” In fine condition, with some scattered light creasing and toning. RRAuction COA.
