The consignor obtained this autograph by writing to Mr. Mays in 1983. Accompanying the signed card is the original self-addressed stamped envelope in which the card arrived. Mays was an all around superstar. Only four other major league players hit more home runs in their career. But in addition, he won a number of Golden Glove awards for his abilities as a center fielder.
