About the Artist: Joseph Wilfrid Daleus: Born in Port-au-Prince, Haïti on Noverber 20, 1949, he started painting at the age of 10. A self-taught artist, Daleus as everyone calls him, has no formal training in art. He can never predict what his next painting will be. His inspiration usually comes from his dreams. He creates a fusion of naive, primitive, impressionism, surrealism, abstract, realism and classic. In 1988, Daleus worked for the Musée d’Art Haïtien restoring old Primitive paintings of Philome Obin, the master of the prestigious school of naifs. His paintings have hung in many places such as the Topen Museum in Amsterdam, The Brooklyn Museum in New york, the Musee du College St Pierre in Port-au-Prince, the MUPANAH in Port-au-Prince, and the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach Florida.

He has exhibited in France, Germany, Spain, The Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Canada, The Dominican Republic, The bahamas, to name a few. He currently resides in Miami, where owns a galleries.
