Lithograph taken from a photo by Charles Graham (1893). Lithograph from John A. Lowell & Company. THE GOOD: It is original. Just look at the frame. The metal corners and the back wit a wood insert to balance the back are priceless. THE BAD: The glass and lithograph have condition issues. The glass is broken and missing a triangular piece 2 3/4 x 1/2" at the largest parts. The lithograph shows its age. There is discoloration. There are water stains especially in the lower right where the glass is broken. Lithograph is 22 1/2 x 47 1/2". Frame is 34 1/2 x 59". All in all still it is a great historical piece. The consignor bought this form a gentleman who lived in Gold Hill, Nevada and he told the consignor that this piece hung in the Gold Hill Hotel at one time!

Hagerman Pass, elevation 11,925 ft (3,635 m), is a high mountain pass that crosses the continental divide in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado in the United States. The pass was named for James J. Hagerman, builder of the Colorado Midland Railroad. The Colorado Midland railroad crossed the continental divide through one of two tunnels (initially the Hagerman Tunnel, later the Busk-Ivanhoe Tunnel at lower altitude) near the top of Hagerman pass. It traverses the Sawatch Range west of Leadville. Today the pass is traversed by an unimproved road that is passable only with four-wheel drive vehicles, bicycles, ATVs, or on foot.
