Reverse: COS III Cybele esated left on backless throne, lion left with paw raised, holding patera, resting forearm on tympanum

The surface disturbances are obvious. Rare reverse type. I did ask a dealer who had handled a cistophoric tetradrachm hoard whether they had any reservations about the authenticity of the coin. While I will not pass along their comments about the prettiness.....or ugliness.....of the coin, they had no doubts whatsoever that the coin was genuine.
