The piece is marked, “Hackman Finland Stainless Tapio Wirkkala” and was created circa 1960’s. After using a traditional Finnish carving knife, a puukko, in his early years to create his initial designs, Wirkkala designed his very own version of the puukko, which is now housed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The piece shows bright clean blade and handle showing very good condition. Knife overall length 8.75", blade only 4 1/8". Very Lightweight knife. Has the original leather sheath with bear paw.
