In 1929, Wilson hit .345 with 39 home runs and set a National League single-season record with 159 RBIs—a record he would break in historic fashion the following year. Bank check, 6 x 2.75, filled out in another hand and signed by Wilson, “L. R. Wilson,” payable to North Park Hotel for $25.00, September 9, 1929. Central vertical fold, expected stamps and cancellation holes to body, slight feathering to signature, and tape remnant to right edge, otherwise fine condition. Wilson is quite uncommon in autographed material. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence.
