Kean,</B></I> circa 1920s, original illustration <BR>Oil on canvas mounted on board <BR>21-1/2 x 24-1/2in. <BR>Signed lower right <BR><BR>Perhaps best known for his genre work involving children and dogs, Hy Hintermeister achieved considerable success as an illustrator. His images graced the covers of many magazines and over 1000 of his scenes have been used on prints, calendars, and puzzles.
