A tour throughout the whole of France ; or, new topographical and historical sketch of all its most important and interesting cities, towns, forts, castles, palaces, islands, harbours, bridges, rivers, antiquities, &c. &c. Interspersed with curious and illustrative anecdotes of the manners, customs, dress, &c. of the inhabitants. Embellished with copper-plates. Printed and sold by William Darton, Jun., 1815. FIRST EDITION, with 12 plates, pages 112, (3, index), (1, blank), (4, Darton's list of children's books), large 12mo, recent paper wrapper : light signs of use but a good to very good copy with the charming plates in clean state. A cheap copy in that the map is not present. A useful guide for the English traveller.(3) MULHALL ( Michael G. ). Power and Wealth of the United States. [No printer, publisher or date] Reprinted from the North American Review, for June, 1895. Title-leaf and pages (641) - 650, (3, adverts), 8vo, recent paper wrapper : the two advert leaves cut close at fore-edge with slight loss, otherwise a very good copy. WorldCat and COPAC locate copies at Bodleian and LSE, both copies, apparently, without the special title-page. Not on-line in D. Mulhall was both journalist, author and statistician. The list of his books is extensive, one of the best known being The English in South America, published in 1878, and reprinted 99 years later in New York.
