<B>HUDSON VALLEY FLINTLOCK FOWLER.</B></I> Built in the third quarter of the 18th century. 60 caliber, with a 45-inch part octagonal, part round barrel. Overall 61 inches long. Ornate sterling plate at wrist. Engraved brass buttplate and triggerguard. Maple stock, with brass ramrod guides. Relief-chiseled decoration at upper breech area of barrel.<BR><B><BR>Condition:</B></I> Original flintlock configuration with functioning action. Maple stock shows dark old patina with a repaired break forward of wrist area and above lockplate. There is a very old un-repaired break midway on the forestock, also missing a 2-inch sliver of wood in this area. Light pitting on iron parts with very nice dark brown patina. Brass parts untouched with a dark mustard patina.
