HUDSON-FULTON CELEBRATION LOT. Lot of 6 items from the Hudson-Fulton Celebration, Hudson, NY, Sept. 25 to Oct. 9, 1909. Three are multicolored cello pinbacks, 1.25", 1.5" & 1.75" in diameter. All have paper backs. PLUS bronze "coin" with classical figure with one of the boats in each hand on one side, jugate portraits of Hudson and Fulton on reverse. Pin bar "Citizens' Comm., attached to medallion with blue, white and orange ribbon. PLUS a souvenir ribbon with the 2 boats on the Souvenir bar, a yellow, white and blue ribbon and a white metal cross with gilt medallion in center that has ships on one side, Lord's Prayer on the other. AND a gilt bar pin with ships, "coin" hanging below with jugate portraits of Hudson and Fulton on one side, NY state seal on other. This celebration in Hudson, N.Y. honored Hendrick Hudson's discovery in 1609 of the river bearing his name in the ship Half Moon and Fulton's navigation of that same river in the steamboat Clermont in 1807.
