HUBLEY TRUK MIXER.
There were only three companies that produced cast iron cement mixers: Kenton, Hubley and Dent. Perhaps the most realistic and lifelike was the Hubley Mack Truk Mixer. A small, but hugely impressive toy, being most realistic in all aspects of this style vehicle from the 1930s time period. Located directly behind the driver is a nickel plated iron expansion tank, held in place by two crescent moon brackets. Directly behind the expansion tanks is the large cement drum. When the toy is rolled along the floor, through means of several gears, the drum revolves in a clockwise motion. There is intricate detailing, not only to the chassis with such simulated features as a toolbox, chain drive, instrument panel, etc., but to the drum itself, which has simulated sliding compartment covers. SIZE: 7-1/2" l. CONDITION: Overall, truck is in very good plus original condition with normal wear to rubber tires. Upon close examination, truck has typical fault/damage to crescent supports of expansion tanks. Both right and left rear supports are broken and missing. This toy was particularly susceptible to this damage as this toy often fell over on its top, or the screw tightened a bit too much. One could easily miss this flaw as it is hidden beneath the expansion tank and directly in front of the mixing canister. 1-12839
