Songbirds on branch, hanging scroll, Chinese ink and watercolour on paper, signed Huang Shen (Chinese, 1687-1772) and inscribed with two seals; titled Jin Mengshi and inscribed with one seal; 87 x 44 cm. Huang Shen (1687-1772) was a Chinese painter during the Qing Dynasty. Huang was born in Ninghua, Fujian province, to a poor family. His courtesy names were Gongshou and Gongmao. His pseudonym was Yingpiaozi.
