1962 Green Bay Packers Team Signed Football from Jim Taylor's Collection. The hero of the 1962 N.F.L. title game, Hall of Fame fullback Jim Taylor carried the ball thirty-one times for eighty-five yards, enduring a tremendous pounding by the New York Giants defense and the frozen ground. A gash in his elbow had to be closed with seven stitches at halftime, and a badly cut tongue left him unable to talk. When the game was over, Taylor had scored the Packers' only touchdown, and had carried his team to their second consecutive World Championship. Presented here is Taylor's own team signed Packers football from that historic season, offering forty black ink signatures with the vast majority in 9/10 condition (and the balance still readily legible). Most notable are Taylor himself, Lombardi, Nitschke, Starr, Adderley, Gregg, Kramer, Moore, Ringo, Davis, Hanner, Skoronski, Whittenton and Wood. The Official "The Duke" Rozelle ball has been stamped with the block-lettered "Green Bay Packers, World Champions," and remains free of any noteworthy scrapes or scuffs. Included in the lot is Taylor's personal letter of authenticity, and a photograph of him holding the ball. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
