<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899><h3 align=center>hughes employed to test fly</h3>(1905-1976). Airplane manufacturer, aviator and motion picture producer. TDS, 3pp, 4to, Houston, Sep 9, 1940. Embossed seal present. Hughes is employed by Hughes Tool Company to test fly a plane or planes for a salary “<i>greater than Ten Dollars ($10.00) per year.</i>..” He will be held “<i>entirely harmless</i>” of any liability, damages or claims as a result of his employment and shall have sole access to plane and radio pending his authorization, with “<i>complete and absolute control of the use and operation of the radio equipment</i>” in the aircraft. Boldly signed in space provided. Also signed by <b><font size=-1>Noah Dietrich</font></b> for Hughes Tool Company. Dietrich managed Hughes’ business affairs and was his associate for over thirty years. He pens a statement of authenticity on verso, dated Jun 4, 1973. Los Angeles Notary certificate affixed to bottom margin. Some show-through of Dietrich’s statement in top margin; moderate glue stain show-through around edge of certificate.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
