<B>HOWARD COOK (1901-1980)<BR></B></I><I>Talpa Winter</B></I><BR>Watercolor and pencil<BR>18in. x 24in.<BR>Signed lower center<BR><BR>Howard Cook won the national competition in 1937, to paint the mural for the U.S. Post Office in San Antonio, which took three years to complete. He executed a mural for the U.S. Post Office in Corpus Christi. He also taught at the University of Texas in Austin (1942-1943).<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Some fading due to light exposure.
