This crook-handled partridge wood cane houses a measuring stick with level. The measuring device is steel with"Patent No. 4427" on the horizontal bar. The round measuring stick is marked in hands (with 1" quarter handsbetween) on one side and centimeters on the other. The solder joint between the measuring stick and horizontal barhas become detached and the level tube of the bubble level no longer contains liquid. The level ends in a silver capand the whole mechanism slides into the cane through a silver oval. Handle width is 4.75"; overall length 36.25".Single piece steel ferrule is 1" long.Minor split in last section of shaft by ferrule. Some wear to finish of underside of crook especially and near ferrule.(EST 600-800)
