London Printed, and sold by the booksellers of London and Westminster. 1720FIRST EDITION, SECOND ISSUE, pages (2), 295, (49), 12, contemporary panelled calf, gilt spine, wanting label, short tear at the very top of the front outer joint but binding secure, strong and attractive, small paper fault in outer margin of leaf F9 touching two line endings affecting two letters only, othererwise a very good to nice copy. Of this issue ESTC locates copies at O : GOT(Holland) and 11 copies in the USA, remarking "No more published of this edition?." “In 1720 a second edition of Vol. 1 only appeared with the title-page as in [the] 1719 [edition] above, except for the imprint : London Printed, and Sold by the Booksellers of London and Westminster. 1720. The errors in pagination are corrected [yes as on our copy, by we have page 100 misnumbered 76].” – Guerinot, Pamphlet attacks on Alexander Pope, page 19.
