This oil on artist board depicting two polo players is by the important Hungarian horse painter, Denes de Holesch (1910-1983). Board measures 10.5" by 8.75" and frame measures 14" by 12.5" by 1.25". Signed "Holesch" in the lower right corner. This work likely dates from the 1950s to 1970s and resides in an old (likely original) frame. Painting is clean and colors are vibrant. Giltwood frame with linen matte has some losses which have been nicely hidden by relatively new gold paint which has been added to the highest points along all four sides. This item resides in our client's place in Larchmont NY in Westchester County and may be seen by appointment. This is one of four Holesch paintings we currently have for sale.

Additional images gladly forwarded upon request.
