The London Printing and Publishing Company, Limited … , circa 1880With an engraved portrait, two additional engraved title-pages and 143 engraved plates, pages (4), xviii, 135, (1) : (12), 149-201, 2 vols bound in 1, 12 by 9 inches, large 4to, contemporary half black morocco, gilt lettered spine, edges gilt, silk marker : the binding rubbed at corners and outside joints but still remarkably strong and outwardly attractive, the title-page lightly spotted, otherwise internally fresh and clean. ALSO WITH THIS LOT: SHERER ( John ), FRGS. Europe illustrated : in picturesque scenes and places of note. Superby embellished with steel engravings, by Turner, Allom, Bartless, Leitch, and other eminent artists. First Series. France, Belgium, and the Rhine. Vol. I. [& Vol.II.]. The London Printing and Publishing Company, Limited, circa 1876-79. With 120 engraved plates, including the additional engraved titles, pages (2), ii, 240 : (2), ii, 198, 2 vols bound in 1, large 4to, 10.5 by 13 inches, contemporary half black morocco, gilt lettered spine, edges gilt, silk marker : binding rubbed at corners and outside joints but still remarkably strong and outwardly still attractive and internally in fine, fresh state throughout.
