Group of three photo albums, includes: 9"x 12" album containing 94 b/w photographs and four photo postcards, all labeled as being taken in the Frankfurt area in 1932-33. Sixteen of the photos prominently feature Hitler Youth and BDM members in uniform, with several portraits of individuals, including one of a boy in a Hitler Youth uniform with a pipe in his mouth. The photos also depict camping trips, NSDAP rallies, and Frankfurt street scenes. Three photos depict the Dornier Do X, the largest flying boat in the world at the time. The covers are plaid cloth. Some photos have come loose from the page, else very good. WITH: a second album, 7"x 9 1/2", containing 59 b/w photos. 27 of these prominently features members of the BDM (League of German Girls), engaged in parades, rallies, and other events, and including individual and group portraits. Their uniforms and flags are also prominently displayed. The album also includes many personal and family photographs, including four wedding photos, in which several attendees, including the groom, wear NSDAP uniforms. Two group shots feature extravagant costumes, other photos feature views of a zeppelin, likely either the Graf Zeppelin or the Hindenburg. The covers are patterned leather, and have detached from the body of the album, and several photos have come loose from the page, else very good. WITH: a third album, 7"x 10 1/2", containing 65 b/w photos. Most of these photos depict landscapes, landmarks, animals, and civilian groups, but 17 were taken at a 1940 "Jugend-Sportfest", and depict Hitler Youth and BDM members, in uniform and in athletic outfits, participating in a number of sports, including a soccer match, the long jump, foot races, wrestling matches, and "Handgranatenwerfen" ("Hand Grenade Throwing"). The final five photos depict a military parade in Karlsbad, and feature horse cavalry and infantry, as well as covered wagons. The covers are patterned cloth.
