The handle of this long cane is a hippo tusk that is approximately 5" wide and high. The .75" wide silver collar isstamped "Sterling" and has raised bands at top and bottom. It is engraved "J. F. Betz, Jr." The shaft is steppedpartridge wood with a brass and steel 1.5" long ferrule. Overall length is nearly 38". Minor wear to finish of shaft,some age-related yellowing and cracking of ivory.(EST 600-800)
