***Auction Highlight*** 1805 Small 5 C-3 R-4 Near TOP POP! Draped Bust Half Cent 1/2c Graded au55+ By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR – Up for Auction is one of the Rarest Half Cents we have ever offered, an 1805, Small 5 with Stems. There are only 30-75 estimated in all grades and None have ever graded mint State. The Lone au58 sold in a Goldberg Auction in January of 2014 for $71,875. It is the Lone Finest Known. I have included a picture of that coin. I think if you compare it to ours, you can see why, ours is clearly the lone 2nd finest known. The next surviving example is a lone au53, a lone au50 and a lone xf45, none of which has ever come to auction. The Vast Majority of the surviving examples Grade between ag and Fine, with only 13 coins known above Fine. The example at hand has the Tell-Tale Bulge on the Right Obverse, identifying it as the LDS Manley Die State 2.0, the same as the finest known example. A very pleasing example of a superbly difficult coin in higher grades. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
