PATTERN SIDELOCK EJECTOR DOUBLE TRIGGER GAME GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 12662. 29 1/2" Shoelump bbls. are fitted with slightly raised flat matted pigeon rib with cross bolt extension. Tops of bbls. are stamped with Krupp steel info and three ring trademark. There are 1 1/4" triangles of scroll engraving at breech ends. Bbl. flats are stamped with indecipherable earlier proofs which look like waffenamts and 2001 Munich Nitro proofs. Coin finished sidelock action is stocked to the fences and features blocked out safety, crossbolt third fastener, bushed strikers, sideclips, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators and double triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved with full coverage nicely cut scroll within line borders. Beads and slight reinforce to action are semi relief engraved with rose blossoms. This fine scroll surrounds a circular scene on bottom of action and trigger plate depicting a bellowing stag with hind. Lettering in arch over top of this scene states “ECHT HOLLAND HOLLAND”. Sideplates are engraved with matching scroll at front and back surrounding nicely detailed game scenes with pair of bemused fox watching a trio of mallards take wing from swamp on left. Right plate depicts a setter startled by three flushing grouse with other pair in foreground waiting to take wing. Blued trigger guard is engraved with matching scroll. Intricately marbled and finely figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/2" over black “Decelerator” pad over 3/8" hard rubber spacer over tapered 5/8-1" wood extension. Stock features right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering on diamond grip, carved oak leaf at bottom of grip and a silver oval on toeline engraved with the remnants of a family crest. Matching long splinter ejector forend with inlet horn tip has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .714", L .716". Restriction: R .044" (EXTRA FULL), L .038" (EXTRA FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .036", L .033". STOCK: DAH: 3 1/8". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 14 1/2". CAST: approx. 1" off. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 12 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: good to fine. Bbls. retain over 80% of what appears to be an old reblue. Action is cleaned to coin finish and presently is mostly pewter gray. Engraving remains sharp and clear. Stocks retain most of an old oil refinish. Grip checkering has not been recut and shows considerable wear. Forend appears to have checkering cleaned up. Bore is bright and shiny, without noted problems. Action is tight. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are strong and in time.(22-5082/MGM). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
