WITH TWO SCOPES BY SIMON KOSCHAT. Cal. 16 Ga., 2 9/16" / 8x57 JR. S# 2475.53. The 23 3/4" demibloc bbl. set is fitted with matted rib, central portion cut away forming quarter rib, and front ramp. Quarterrib holds claw bases and flip up U-notch sight. Bottom bbl. is stamped with 1953 Ferlach Nitro proofs for 16 Ga. & 8x57 JR. Maker's number "26" (Simon Koschat) is also stamped. Bottom of rear lump is stamped "AKAH". French gray scallop backed O/U double Kirsten blitz action features nonautomatic safety, bushed strikers, and double triggers (front set). Action is nicely egraved with small sprays of shaded scroll surrounding game scenes with stag and hind on left, roebuck and doe on right. A chamoix is on bottom of action and triggerplate, and a hare is on blued trigger guard bow. Hard rubber capped pistol grip buttstock of lightly figured European walnut measures 14 5/8" over "Whiteline" pad and features right hand shadowline cheekpiece, nicely fluted comb, well cut point pattern checkering and sling loop. Matching 1 piece forend has Deeley release. Gun is mounted with Zeiss Diavari 1.6-6x rail scope with three post reticle in claw mounts, front with long extension, rear with windage. MEASUREMENTS: SHOTGUN BBL: Bore Diameter: .667". Restriction: .029" (IMOD). Min. Wall Thickness: .024". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". DAC: 1 5/8+". LOP: 14 5/8". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. Combo is also equipped with Khales Helia Super 8x scope with 3 post reticle in clamped on mounts, rear with windage. CONDITION: fine with some light refinishing. Bbls. retaining about 70% original blue . Action with most of its French gray, polished highlights still visible on game scenes. Trigger guard retains over 70% of its blue and stocks retain most of their original finish with slight refinishing of rear of butt with installation of pad. Zeiss scope is very fine with only a few light marks in external lacquer. Optically clear. Khales scope is fine with a few marks in exterior finish and a fairly good knock on upper left side of ocular bell, optics do not appear to be compromised and are clear.
