HI POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH SOFT CASE & FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# T198241. Bbl. 4 5/8". Hi Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium and imported by Browning Arms Company in 1967. The left side of the slide is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN BELGIUM". Right side of the forward trigger guard web and bbl. are marked with Belgian commercial proofs. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the 2-piece bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, which feature red anti-moisture barrier paint on the interior of the panels. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed square notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 blued 13-rd. mag., with blued push button pattern floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather Browning soft case, as well as a factory letter indicating that this example was sold for 82.87 to Gross Photo Supply in Toledo, OH (Invoice #061941) on August 15th of 1967. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few light superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of hardened grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Mag. exhibits areas of mild wear and thinning at and around the edges, with the floorplate exhibiting some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Grips are excellent overall. Soft case shows some light wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Jon Thomas, Gunsport, LTD. (25-1140/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
