COMBO BY ERNST THALMANN WITH SWAROVSKY SCOPE. Cal. 16 Ga., 2 3/4" & 6.5x57R. S# 109088. The 23 3/4" demibloc bbls. are fitted with full length matted rib holding flip over rifle/shotgun rear and brass bead front sights. Claw scope bases are also fitted. Left extractor housing is marked "VEB JAGDWAFFENWERK SUHL" (Ernst Thalmann) and "MADE IN GDR". Right side is marked "Hubertus". Bottom bbl. is stamped with March 1990 East German Nitro proofs for 16 Ga., 2 3/4" & 6.5x57R cartridges. Case hardened ogee backed double Kirsten O/U action features non-automatic safety, pin cocking indicators on sides, and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with sprays of scroll within line and geometric borders. Suhl blacksmith is stamped on trigger plate. Blued steel trigger guard has scroll on bow. Capped pistol grip buttstock of lightly marbled, dark European walnut measures 14 7/8" over brown "Uncle Mike's" solid pad and features right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering and sling loop. Matching 3 piece forend has Deeley release. Gun is mounted with Swarovsky Habicht 6x Nova scope with duplex reticle in soldered on claw mounts, rear with windage. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: comes with black plastic case. CONDITION: exceptionally fine with slight evidence of use. Bbls. retaining well over 95% original blue, action with a like amount of original case color. Protective lacquer shows wear on bottom and has some scratches. Stocks retain nearly all of their hand rubbed oil finish with a few scattered marks, checkering still light in color showing little wear. Pad is relatively new. Bores are bright and shiny.
