HEREDIA, Jose-Maria de.- Les Trophées. Paris, [pour le compte de Descamps-Scrive], 1907. In-4°. Relié par Charles Meunier en 1921 : demi-maroquin vert à cadres, plats de cuir incisé gaufré en ronde-bosse avec rehauts d'or (plaque signée par Meunier en 1923) figurant divers trophées, dos à 4 nerfs et caisson central fleuronné doré, doublures de tissu broché à motifs indiens serties d'un listel de veau tacheté sur cadres de maroq. vert, gardes volantes de même tissu, doubles gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées, couv. parcheminée titrée or avec cadre doré et dos cons. Sous chemise en demi-maroquin vert à bandes doublée de fine peau bordeaux (dos de la chemise passé), sous étui.
50 compositions traduites en gravure par Léopold Flameng et tirées en noir par Porcaboeuf : vign. de faux titre, vign. de titre, frontispice, 17 titres, 24 bandeaux , 2 lettrines, 2 culs-de-lampe, vign. de table et grande compositon au colophon.
Edition en partie originale (augmentée de deux sonnets et d'une préface inédite de l'auteur), imprimée pour le compte de Descamps-Scrive, président de la Société des Amis des Livres et mise en souscription par la Librairie L. Carteret.
Tirage unique à 175 (selon la justif., 150 selon un prospectus de souscription et la note transcrite infra) ex. num. sur vélin du Marais, un des 150 numérotés en chiffres arabes (n° 27).
Ex. enrichi d'une note non signée, spécifiant que "Ce livre a été mis en oeuvre en 1908 et a coûté Cent cinq mille francs pour Cent trente cinq exemplaires souscrits et Quinze exemplaires réservés".
Luc Olivier-Merson (1846-1920) fut également un des décorateurs du Palais de Justice de Paris et l'auteur du premier billet de banque français en couleurs.

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 EUR will be send by registered post.

Payment will be made in Euro's. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 EUR or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Euro's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
