Additional Information: This original etching is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Moore" at the lower right margin.
It is also inscribed in pencil "E.A" (Epreuve d'Artiste/Artist Proof) and hand numbered "4/5" in pencil at the lower left margin.
It was printed by Atelier Lacouriere et Frélaut, Paris in a limited edition of 25 signed and numbered impressions. There were a further five artist proofs, which ours is one of them, all printed on Chine paper.
The work was published by Editions des Livres Pierre Lecuire, Paris. in 1973.

Condition: Very good condition. Two tape marks at the verso.

Notes: A futher 130 unsigned and unnumbered impressions were printed on Dordogne paper by Pierre Lecuire for the book Le Livre des Livres.

Anna Seghers was a famous German writer who wrote about the moral experience of the Second World War. Her most famous book is The Outing of the Dead Girls (1946).
