He founded the American Association of Aeronautical Engineers and was the 1912 patentee of the “Safety Aeroplane” and the “Ship and Aeroplane Compass and Inclinometer.” DS, 1p, 21"x16½", Washington, May 16, 1889. Gold foil seal intact. A Washington Training School for Nurses diploma on vellum awarded to Ella Margaret Snowden. Boldly signed twice as Dean of the faculty and as Secretary of the society. Also signed by seven other physicians. General light creasing and wrinkling; light toning; minor chipping at top edge; o/w VG. A scarce aviation signature.</span></p>
