In part, "The Committee app-ointed to prepare & report a suitable expression by the Bar on the recent death of the Honbl Henry Baldwin submit the following...Henry Baldwin late one of the Justices of the Supreme Court...a tribute of affectionate regard to the memory of one who in the faithful discharge of this elevated trust, has gained an imperishable fame for spotless integrity, thorough research and profound learning...his private intercourse has been endeared by his kind & unostentatious deportment to the Bar. Be it therefore resolved That as an evidence of sincere regret for the great loss which...the country have substained...we will wear the customary badge of mourning for thirty days...Judges of the several Courts now in session...adjourn...That a Committee...be appointed to communicate to the family...That a Committee of Seven persons...accompany the remains of the deceased to the place of internment..." Document goes on to name the members of the two mentioned committees. Signed by 4 of the leading jurists of Pennsylvania: Horace Binney (1780-1875); H.M.
