This is a beautiful 4 oz Claret stem, in the #359 Colonial pattern with narrow optic on the inside of the bowl. The lovely shape was designed and produced by the A. H. Heisey Glass Company of Newark, OH. circa 1910. This wine or claret glass is 5-3/4? tall and 3? in diameter at the rim. The flat foot is 2-9/16? in diameter. The bottom of the foot is also marked with the large Diamond H trade mark. The color of this stem is very similar to Alexandrite and the stem is shown in some books to have been produced in that color. There is some question as to whether this is actually the Alexandrite color but it is not sun purpled, of that I am sure.
