Himmler and Wolff open a secretive bank account

HEINRICH HIMMLER (1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremburg. Frightening D.S., 1p. 12mo., a unnamed bank signature card for account no. 8160 held in a Berlin Bank, boldly signed by Himmler, also signed by KARL WOLFF, (1906-1975) Colonel-general in the Waffen-SS, liaison officer for Himmler with Hitler, German military governor of Northern Italy. Both Himmler and Wolff were allowed to sign solely. Interestingly, the card is stamped "Blocked from the Military Government". Fine. Himmler and the SS were known for having held secret accounts, some of which contained the proceeds of the sale of confiscated goods and gold obtained from their victims.
