HEADBOARD "THE MAN OF KENT". A cast aluminium board with two Kent Invicta shields painted on. Cast "MOD" on the back. 51"x15". A substantial bracket on the ex-loco back. Usually worked by 'Schools Class' locomotives, the 4.15 p.m. express from Charing Cross to Dover, Deal, Ramsgate and Folkestone Central was named "The Man Of Kent" in 1953. Allowed only 80 minutes, the title was terminated by the electric trains in 1961.
