HB-157 EP-169 Scott-111 Reed-IH24 24¢ Irving House - Hunt & Nash Extremely Fine.
Numerical grade: 70case.70stamp.85mica. = 225 Considered to be an R-9 by Reed, indicating two to four known. It is unpriced in the Bowers reference, where they comment, "Under three known." To our best knowledge, the correct figure is four. Whatever the exact census, it's safe to say that this piece is rare in the extreme. The case is flawless from the back, with some claim to the About New grade, but there are some minor stains on the face tabs. The stamp is a touch toned down but beautifully centered, and the mica is exceptionally nice and virtually flawless.
From The Frederick Mayer Collection

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
