HB-157 EP-169 24¢ Irving House Hunt & Nash Choice Extremely Fine. Unpriced in The Bowers reference, where they comment, "Under three known." When this piece was sold by Stack's as lot 529 in June of 2004, their comment was, "We know of about five of these." This cataloger falls right between, and is aware of the existence of four. Whatever the exact census, it is safe to say that this piece is rare in the extreme. It's also a superior-quality piece, with a wholly pleasing natural gold and olive and tan case, showing virtually no signs of circulation. The mica is perfect save for a minute crack at the bottom center, and the stamp is only very slightly faded. ex-Stack's Western Collection 6/2004, previously E.C. Henderson September 1963, previously Virgil Brand.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
