HB-116 EP-14 1¢ G.G. Evans Extremely Fine. A very nice example of the only piece that does not bear the Gault patent. These apparently were made in violation of that patent, as the overall appearance and style of manufacture is slightly different than any of the other pieces. Evans encasements also have a totally different sound when dropped lightly on a hard surface. They apparently were made without the cardboard behind the stamp that all the others have. This is a far nicer example than the typical Evans pieces. The mica is perfect, the stamp is bright and the case extremely high grade. This 1¢ denomination is the most common of the Evans encasements, but some liberty is taken with the word "Common," as fewer than two dozen are known.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
