HB-1 EP-1 1¢ Aerated Bread Very Fine. A rare merchant represented by only the 1¢ denomination and a unique 5¢ example. Only about 15 Aerated Bread pieces are known, and they seldom reach the market in any condition. This one is lightly circulated with an ideal light tan coloration. The stamp is well centered and bright, the mica has a few problems, the most noticeable of which are two indentations that are not quite holes, one immediately above Franklin's head and the other right around his ear. An attractive enough example of this extremely rare merchant. It is attributed by our consignor to the February 1969 Stack's auction.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
